How You Can Help
Thank you for considering an Amenawon Foundation donation today. Every dollar helps to support projects that are bringing self-sufficiency, improved health and better living conditions -and hope - to men, women and children in rural Nigeria. If you would like to contribute towards Amenawon Foundation’s efforts to provide development assistance in Nigerian rural communities, please choose one of the methods of contribution below.

Methods of Contribution:

There are several ways to help the cause. Donations can be in the form of financial assistance or products and services that will impact the lives of those in great need. Contribution methods include:
On-Line Donations
Host a Fundraiser
Monthly Giving
Tribute/Memorial Giving
Volunteer
Donate School Supplies

On-Line Donations
Donate safely online through PayPal with your checking account, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover card.

Host a Fundraiser
Turn your birthday, anniversary, or cocktail party into a benefit!! When you host a party or a special event, ask your guests to make a donation to Amenawon Foundation or to your favorite Amenawon Foundation program instead of bringing gifts. In addition to being tax deductible, each gift will be recognized and each donor will be thanked. Not sure how to organize this? We'll help!
Click here for guidelines on how to host a house party and contact Ino Okoawo at iokoawo@amenawon.org.

Monthly Giving
Monthly donors provide gifts of all sizes to the Amenawon Foundation to sustain all of our programs. This reliable, consistent giving provides an even and predictable flow of resources, and a convenient opportunity for those who prefer to provide support in even and predictable amounts.
You can have your tax deductible donation charged to your credit card or directly transferred from your accounts to Amenawon Foundation. It’s convenient and easy to join!
For more information or to become a monthly donor contact Ino Okoawo, at 617.417.3734 or email iokoawo@amenawon.org.

Tribute/Memorial Giving
Throughout our lives we have experiences that we want to celebrate or honor in some meaningful way. Many of our donors choose to make charitable donations in honor of such significant occasions: weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, or memorial services.
When you make a tribute gift (by notifying Amenawon Foundation that you are making the gift), a special card will be sent to the person(s) you wish to honor or remember, indicating that you have remembered them in this special way. This card is in addition to the usual tax letter that you will also receive.

Volunteer
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Amenawon Foundation. We are honored that you are considering donating your time and skills to our organization. Volunteers are vital to the organization’s overall functioning and success. Amenawon Foundation would welcome anyone who is willing to volunteer his or her time and efforts towards our cause. The Amenawon Foundation office is based in Washington DC and needs volunteers to help raise awareness and funds for Amenawon's work in rural villages.

Interested individuals must fill out the electronic volunteer form by clicking volunteer form-FINAL-wp.doc and submit a resume, including a short cover letter with your name, contact number or email, availability, and a good time to reach you to Ino Okoawo at: iokoawo@amenawon.org.

Donating School Supplies
There is an extreme need for school supplies in Edo State. Most families can barely afford school fees, much less buy their children basic school materials such as pencils, pens, and rulers. Amenawon Foundation collects school supplies for numerous primary and secondary schools throughout Uwessan, Edo State, Nigeria.
Amenawon Foundation accepts donations of the most needed supplies:
Pens and pencils
Colored pencils
Crayons
Markers
Pencil sharpeners
Rulers
Erasers
Scissors
Solar-powered calculators
Book bags
Chalk
Laptop Computers
Unfortunately, Amenawon Foundation asks that you not send us paper, notebooks, or textbooks, as they are generally too heavy and expensive to ship to schools in Uwessan.
If you have school supplies to send to Amenawon Foundation, we ask that you make an inventory sheet to go with the shipped supplies that generically lists the supplies being shipped….100 pens, 25 calculators, etc. Then, please remove all the school supplies from its packaging and place the supplies in zip lock bags before shipping them to us. That will save shipping weight and the associated expense for you and for Amenawon Foundation. Bagging each type of supply separately will also be enormously helpful…all pens in their own bags, colored pencils all together, etc.
When you’re ready to ship your school supplies to us, please contact us at info@amenawon.org so we can help you find the best shipping alternative if you have more than one box of supplies. Otherwise, please ship your supplies to:
